When a customer signs up for my Proactive Pest Shield service, the goal is simple. I want to stop pest problems before they turn into bigger issues. Every initial service visit starts with a thorough inspection of the home. I am looking closely for potential rodent entry points, areas where insects are gaining access, and conditions that may attract pests over time. Catching these issues early is one of the most important parts of effective pest control.

During the exterior portion of the service, I de web the home to remove spider webs and knock down any wasp nests that are present. This not only improves the appearance of the home but also reduces active pest pressure right away. I then place exterior rodent bait stations in strategic locations to help control mice (and rats if applicable) before they find their way inside.

Next, I treat the exterior of the home with a pet friendly, seasonally tailored, residually active insecticide. This treatment is designed to control common insects and spiders while creating a protective barrier around the structure. The product selection and application are adjusted based on the time of year and the specific pest pressures present.

Once the exterior is complete, I move inside as needed. I place interior bait stations where appropriate, install insect monitoring devices, and treat interior areas if there is activity from spiders, ants, earwigs, box elder bugs, or similar pests. Every home is different, so the service is tailored to what is actually needed. An initial Proactive Pest Shield service typically takes between forty five minutes and two hours to complete, depending on the size of the home and the conditions encountered during the visit. After the service is completed, the client receives their invoice along with a detailed service report outlining what was done and any recommendations moving forward.
